Linkbot provides a very powerful, yet simple set of options for automating site maintenance. In this exercise we'll show you how to program Linkbot to turn itself on and check your site a regular intervals.
1. Select Schedule Runs from the Tools menu.
2. Enter a URL in the starting URL field and
press the Add button. The starting URL is the URL of the site you
want to check. If you enter more than one starting URL, Linkbot
will check the first site then check the second, etc.
3. For each site you enter in the Starting URL field, you also
need to enter a Site Report file name. This is the HTML file that
Linkbot will create when the run has completed.
4. Select the Run Schedule Tab. Here you can specify the time and
frequency of your scheduled runs.
5. Select a frequency from the options. You can
tell Linkbot to run just once or a regular intervals: hourly,
daily or weekly.
6. Enter the time you want Linkbot to turn itself on in the Time
to Start Run field..
